Armed Forces -

(Active Duty) Information

Get and keep your records in order:  We highly recommend you begin now to research your rights and benefits as a retiree. In particular, find out how your medical records must specify any injuries or disabilities incurred in the line of duty. Please don't take this lightly. Your records must describe your injuries and disabilities in an exact manner that will satisfy both the military and the VA, or your compensation might be lessened or nullified. Because this research can be difficult and confusing, we suggest you take advantage of consultants provided by various veterans' organizations. We assure you, the ultimate reward can be worth the pain.
